Fort Frances, the largest community in the Rainy River District, is located on the shores of the Rainy River and of Rainy Lake. It is a full service community that is also another port of entry from the USA to Canada. Here you can walk along the waterfront walkways on the Rainy River and view the rapids where the Rainy Lake flows into Rainy River; then continue along to Pither’s Point where you can enjoy the sand beach, the campgrounds and view “The Hallock”, a 60 foot - 57 ton logging boat.
